I have used a WYSIWYG web builder with a free Brinkster acct(VERY AWESOME FREE HOST) but now i got a acct w/ Dreamhost and i want to put up a business selling Western wear and other Cowboy gear, Saddles, tack, art, etc.I have messed around on W3 schools website learning HTML for awhile now. I even downloaded a editor Bluefish that seems to be kind of nice. And i use firefox so i grabbed an ext. called ftp that i’m thinking will work perfect, if not please tell me so. Also I want to know how easy it will be to go back and little by little swap the Joomla template w/ my own pages as i learn more. But there is a high importance on getting the site up right away. So am i correct in thinking that perhaps it should help me in that area, OR NOT ? Will it be anything like using the web builder im already familiar with ? My problem has been SEO trouble because of lack of control but joomla isnt like that so i should be alright, but then whats the downside to it ? What about ads ?

Ok so I have the server computer, server software, and 1 static ip address. Is that enough to host, for instance 12 websites. Or do I need an ip for each site?

I’m used to working with linux (apache) servers, but now I own an offsite Windows 2003 server running IIs6. I seen the help files, but they confuse me and I dont really know where to start to be honest. When i go into the IIS administrator, it says everything including ‘webserver’ is running, but i’m unable to access the default web pages with my browser, i tried both my server IP and ‘localhost’. I’ll also have to set up nameservers, php, mysql, etc…but first i wanna see the default web pages load in a browser before i get to far in it. The server came with one IP, i ordered another because NS nameservers require 2. I plan to use this server to host a ‘halo’ game, as well as multiple web site….i considered a hosting business to help pay for the server. Any and all information would be appreciated. If i can’t figure out how to use the IIS, which i rather would, i’ll just install Apache and do it the old fashioned way. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

How do they affect your page? Do they help it go up in the page ranking? Just how do they work?

Is there any issue that might arise if one uses multiple SSL certificates for different domains, on a shared IP hosting?
